From one of the oldest wineries in the Mosel – wine has been made here for over 1000 years! Refreshingly light and balanced with aromas of fresh green apples, pears and yellow plums. This is a fresh and vibrant wine with a lovely long finish.
Red | Maximin Grunhaus | Pinot Noir | Mosel | 2017
This Pinot Noir is planted on the steepest and best plots on the estate’s Abtsberg vineyard. All the grapes were hand harvested, and the wine spent 18 months in mixture of French and Austrian oak. This wine is perfectly balanced and aromatic, with a complex nose of red fruits, clove, alongside a powerful and savoury palate and a long silky finish. Ideal for drinking now or can happily be set down and aged for 5 years or more.
Red | Dreissigacker Wunderwerk | Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) | 2015 | O V VG
Organic and biodynamic, all the grapes were hand harvested and fermented in large oak barrels then aged in Austrian and French barrels for two years on its lees, to add structure and depth. Ruby red in colour, with a bright and attractive nose of red cherry and strawberry with a hint of spice. This is a well balanced wine with soft tannins and a structured finish.
