The vineyards’ proximity to the Southern Ocean ensures slow ripening of the grapes, enhancing their aromatic qualities. Intense guava upfront with hints of nectarine and passion fruit. A small position of lees ageing and oak contact have given a lovely subtle texture and complexity to this cool-climate Sauvignon Blanc.

Fruit for this McLaren Vale rosé is sourced from 60-year old bush vines, which benefit from warm sunny days and a cooling ocean breeze from the Gulf of St Vincent, giving the wine beautiful concentration and its classic strawberry and red cherry aromas, lovely savoury tannin profile and crisp acidity.

Fruit comes from ‘The Lionheart’ vineyard in the Barossa which boasts vines over a hundred years of age, giving a rich, generous mouthfeel to this wine. Sweet blackberry, raspberry and plums on the palate with firm but fine tannins. It has a long, youthful finish. The vineyard team encourage the humble dandelion amongst the vines as they suppress winter weeds.
